man of conviction

Classified information is leaked to Bob Novak who exposes an undercover CIA agent.

Whitehouse: We will fire anyone involved in this leak.

Early reports point out that Karl Rove was involved with all 6 reporters who knew of the leak.

Whitehouse: We will fire anyone responsible for the leak.

Evidence is turned over to court that Karl Rove leaked classified information to reporters and Matt Cooper agrees to testify against Rove.

Whitehouse: We will fire anyone who is convicted of a crime related to leaking classified information.

What's next? We will fire anyone who is photographed beating Valerie Plame with a purple dildo while wearing mismatched socks! Ah, that George Bush. What a man of conviction.

On a side note, I'd just like to compare George W Bush with someone who is far more of a man than he'll ever be: his father. Amusingly Karl Rove also worked for the Bush Sr campaign back in 1992 and was up to his usual dirty tricks back then. In fact, he obviously hasn't changed much because he leaked sensative information about Bush's opponents to none other than Bob Novak. Even though Novak similarly refused to testify and Rove could not be prosecuted for it, Bush Sr saw only one morally right option and fired Karl Rove. If only his son had the cojones to do the same thing.
